Ingredients: |
1 pound Real Good Chicken Liver, cleaned
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 quart vegetable oil for frying
Preparation Instructions: |
Rinse the chicken livers in a colander under cold water and ensure they are well-drained. Pat them dry with paper towels.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk until well blended.
Combine the flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a zip-top bag. Shake the bag to thoroughly mix the ingredients.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Dip each chicken liver in the egg mixture to coat it, then transfer it to the flour mixture, shaking the bag to ensure it is evenly coated.
Carefully place a few coated livers at a time into the hot oil. Cover the pan with a splatter screen and fry until the livers are crisp and golden brown, usually around 5 to 6 minutes.
